Events Creative Production Director

gener8’s heritage is event production – with, Director Brian Challinor coming from a background of over 30 years in television, media and creative/technical production.

Brian commenced working at the Ten Network in its infancy in 1965 and was an instrumental factor in the establishment of the network and was soon was promoted to the local executive board at the age of 29.

Following his 20 years at the Ten Network, Brian completed a short stint at the Nine Network before branching out to establish one of Melbourne’s first (and second largest) digital video production houses, known as Australian Production Facilities (APF).  Staffed by more than 25 qualified production technicians and creative staff working on projects such as television program production, commercials, corporate video production, conference video production and 3D computer Animation.

After building a prosperous business in the world of production, Brian successfully sold the business and moved into the events management/production space, creating Challinor Connections in 1990.  Soon after he attracted such clients as The Professional Golf Association, Repco, Barbeques Galore, MTD etc.

Then in 2002 Challinor Connections was rebranded as gener8 events, and Brian became co-director of the business with daughter Monique Cooper.

In 2002, when Monique Cooper joined the business, Challinor Connections became gener8 events, enabling us to expand from what was traditionally an event production small business hub, into a technology savvy, full service, event management company.

Prior to joining the gener8 team as co-director/owner Monique utilised her Marketing degree from Swinburne University and honed her marketing and event knowledge and skills with various roles for Hewlett-Packard and Vignette Australia.  These roles included sales, marketing, quality management, call centre management, online services management, business development and event management. 

For the last 11 years Monique has focused on utilising this extensive knowledge and skill to provide a range of services to gener8 clients. Her unique ability to combine both creative and logistical mind sets enables her to deliver a total package for gener8 clients.  

With the growth of the company the gener8 team has also expanded.  Working closely with them, Monique continues to ensure that all of the team have the knowledge and skills required to exceed expectations when delivering your events.

Monique is also the president of the not for profit Metabolic Dietary Disorders Association, supporting Australian’s with rare metabolic conditions.

Cathie has been an integral part of the team at gener8 for over 10 years.  Her knowledge and experience in working with our Delegate’s enables her to exceed their expectations at all times.

Videographer, AV Content

Peter, who heads Erb Media is regularly engaged to work on broadcast productions for most Australian TV networks and Cable companies. Most of this work is in High definition video and often at the leading edge of technology.

Chris Erb is the in house photographer with a wide variety of professional skills in cinematography and still photography. He has many and varied assignments under his belt, including documentaries and current affairs filming.
